  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist
  • Registered Member of the Ontario College of Social Worker and Social Service Workers
  • Professional Member of the Canadian Association for Play Therapy
  • Professional Member of EMDR International Association (EMDRIA)
  • Completion of Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT) certification program curriculum
  • Theraplay and MIM Training Level 1
  • Sandplay Therapy Level 1 (Canadian Association of Sandplay Therapy)
  • 7 years experience working alongside Indigenous community as a friend, ally and psychotherapist
  • Bachelor of Social Work, Vancouver Island University
  • Honours Double Major; Psychology and Linguistics, University of Ottawa

Training and Experience

  • 10 Years experience in the field of mental health practicing across a wide range of populations including women’s shelters, community health centres, in-community Indigenous programs, children and youth interventions within school and agency settings as well as private practice
  • A passionate commitment to personal development and ongoing training opportunities to remain current in evidence based literature and interventions regarding psychology and psychotherapy
  • Regular participation in clinical and peer supervision to preserve and strengthen the integrity of the therapeutic process.
  • Dedication to personal practice of mindfulness, meditation and movement
